General information about our application process:

The PlanetRomeo Foundation team consists of 8 volunteers. Please be aware that an answer to your email may take a few weeks, and our funding rounds take between 3 - 6 months, from the moment you hand in your application to the moment you receive the payment.
We have a two stage application process. After your initial application is approved, we will ask you to upload 3 documents: 1. Proof of registration of the organisation, 2. A recent bank statement, 3. A copy of the passport or (refugee) identity document, of the person authorized to represent the organisation and sign the Funding Agreement. Please make sure you have these documents ready, to help us finalize the contract and payment.
You may use a fiscal sponsor. In that case, we will need additional documents and information. This will be explained after your application has been approved.
Due to our limited budget, PlanetRomeo Foundation can only approve the most impactful, relevant and feasible projects. We prioritize applications from the Majority World (Asia, South-America and Africa).
Your application will auto-save, so you can close this window and come back at any time to work on the application, before submitting it.
You will receive our Evaluation Form, 6 months after signing the Funding Agreement. The stories about your impact helps us raise funds to support more projects like yours. We also ask feedback to improve our work as a funder. After we have approved the Evaluation Form, we share a Letter of Recommendation to help you find further funding.

We are aware of the fact that you put your trust in us. That’s why we see it as our responsibility to protect your privacy. In this Privacy statement we inform you about what personal data we process while using our website and related services. We also inform you why we process this information and how this helps us to improve your user experience. This should give you full understanding of how we work exactly.
This Privacy statement is applicable to the services of PlanetRomeo Foundation (hereinafter ‘The Foundation’). You should be aware that The Foundation does not have to be responsible for the privacy policies of other websites and sources that it links to.
The Foundation respects the privacy of all users, of its services, and ensures that your personal information is carefully handled by us in compliance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you hand in a funding application to The Foundation, we ask you to provide information which is relevant to this funding application. All the information and attachments provided by you in the application form, in stored in the software we use for our applications: Optimy, a Belgian software provider operating under the same EU GDPR policy. All personal information is handled according to the GDPR policy.
