General information about our application process:

The PlanetRomeo Foundation team consists of 6 volunteers. Please be aware that an answer to your email may take a few weeks, and our funding rounds take between 3 - 6 months, from the moment you hand in your application to the moment you receive the payment.
We have a two stage application process. After your initial application is approved, we will ask you to upload 3 documents: 1. Proof of registration of the organisation, 2. A recent bank statement, 3. A copy of the passport or (refugee) identity document, of the person authorized to represent the organisation and sign the Funding Agreement. Please make sure you have these documents ready, to help us finalize the contract and payment.
You may use a fiscal sponsor. In that case, we will need additional documents and information. This will be explained after your application has been approved.
Due to our limited budget, PlanetRomeo Foundation can only approve the most impactful, relevant and feasible projects. We prioritize applications from the Majority World (Asia, South-America and Africa).
Your application will auto-save, so you can close this window and come back at any time to work on the application, before submitting it.
You will receive our Evaluation Form, 6 months after signing the Funding Agreement.

PlanetRomeo Foundation has planned the funding rounds for 2024 as follows:

Round 2024 Q1-2 has ended. All partners have been informed. We are currently finalizing the last payments.
Round 2024 Q3-4: Applications handed in between 15 January 2024 and 20 February 2024 have been reviewed. All partners have been informed. We aim to finalize the contracts and payments of approved projects in October-November 2024.

We aim to reopen for the 2025 Q1-2 applications on 1 February 2025. Those applications will be taken into consideration in March-April 2025. We aim to inform all partners in May 2025, and handle contracts and payments in May-June 2025.

Welcome to the application page of PlanetRomeo Foundation. We grant subsidies up to EUR 6.000,- to LGBTQI+ organisations. Before submitting an application, please take the following into account:

We carry out three programs, your project must fit the criteria of one of our programs:
- Community Organising
- Shelter
- Sports or Culture
You can only receive funding from PlanetRomeo Foundation once. There is an exception for organisations who received COVID Emergency Funding: you may apply again for our regular programs.
Grassroots organisations and small new initiatives are encouraged to apply! This includes organisations who have never received funding before. You may use a fiscal sponsor if your organisation is not registered and does not have a bank account.
Please be aware that we prioritize applications from the Majority World (Asia, South-America and Africa). Applications from Western-Europe including the Netherlands are unlikely to be prioritized.
